Describe your role at NBBC. I am privileged to serve as the lead pastor here at New Bethel. As Pastor, it is my goal to serve the people of the church and the community and to lead the church to be all that God desires. As the preacher it is my goal to have beautiful feet (read Romans 10:14-15) by preaching the truth of the good news and lifting high Jesus the Savior of the world.
Describe a time in your life when God taught you a valuable lesson, or a time when God revealed Himself to you in a big way. God opening the door for me to come to New Bethel was a pretty big deal. I was serving as associate pastor of a church in Alabama and a new senior pastor had just started at the church. Within a few days of telling my wife, Anne, how much I was going to enjoy working with the new pastor, the Lord led New Bethel's search team to contact me. God is always in charge even when we think we know what we want.
Describe the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time. I love watching YouTube videos on backpacking, camping and hiking!
What is your favorite cereal? Steel cut oats with fresh apples and cinnamon… (or Frosted-Flakes!)
